Wyoming was built at horse scale. East of there, around Sheridan and Buffalo, the eastern slope of the Bighorns mixes trail riding with genuine ranch life. Down in the southeast, Cheyenne and Laramie anchor a broader scene: agricultural country, a strong rodeo circuit, and riding academies that teach English alongside Western, which tells you the equestrian community here is wider than the postcard suggests.
