MT
The Montana state organization of Back Country Horsemen, the birthplace of the movement, with more than 1,000 members across roughly 18 chapters. Volunteers provide service to the backcountry, education of horsemen, and representation in public land-use planning, contributing thousands of trail miles of maintenance each year.

The Arkansas state organization of Back Country Horsemen of America, a nonprofit whose motto is keeping public trails open for stock use. Volunteer members clear and maintain trails and educate riders in responsible backcountry practices.

A completely volunteer-run nonprofit that has promoted the relationship between people and horses since 1959, on grounds in Black Forest, Colorado with views of Pikes Peak. The club operates two show arenas and hosts horse shows, gymkhanas, clinics, and trail rides.
Carmel Valley Trail & Saddle Club
Carmel Valley, CA
A members-only nonprofit founded in 1956 serving California's Central Coast in the Carmel Valley area. The volunteer-run club supports trail riding and equestrian community events for its membership.
Chattahoochee Trail Horse Association
GA
Created in 1991 by horseback trail riders, this Georgia nonprofit is primarily responsible for maintaining equestrian trails through the Chattahoochee National Forest and other North Georgia public lands. Members organize group rides and volunteer trail work.
Deep Run Hunt Pony Club
Manakin-Sabot, VA
A club in the Virginia Region of the United States Pony Clubs, founded in 1954 and among the oldest pony clubs in the country. Members participate in eventing, dressage, show jumping, mounted games, tetrathlon, and foxhunting, plus clinics, ratings, and an annual camp.
Franklin County Saddle Club
Pasco, WA
A member-owned and operated equine club and facility located in Pasco, Washington, including trail facilities. The club hosts riding activities and events for its members.
Genesee Valley Hunt
Geneseo, NY
A foxhunting club established in 1876 in the Genesee Valley of western New York, based near Geneseo. It has hosted its sanctioned Race Meet since 1892 and remains the only meet in New York State to host sanctioned timber steeplechase racing.
Green Mountain Horse Association
South Woodstock, VT
Founded in 1926, GMHA is one of the nation's oldest continuously operating horse associations, headquartered on its own grounds in South Woodstock, Vermont. It hosts events for thousands of riders each year across dressage, driving, eventing, hunter/jumpers, and distance/trail riding.
Iroquois Hunt
Lexington, KY
A Bluegrass foxhunting club founded in 1880 and re-established in 1926, headquartered at historic Grimes Mill on Boone Creek near Lexington, Kentucky. Its members share an interest in hounds, land conservation, and the mounted traditions of foxhunting.
Kit Carson Riding Club
Colorado Springs, CO
Established in 1942, Kit Carson Riding Club is the oldest active riding club in Colorado, on 15 acres in Colorado Springs. Members enjoy trail rides and club events; the club was named for the nearby Army base its founders had ridden to.
Minnesota Trail Riders Association

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has promoted recreational equestrian trail riding in Minnesota since 1978. Members organize group rides and support trail access and maintenance across the state.

Prescott Saddle Club
Prescott, AZ
One of Arizona's oldest horseback riding clubs, based in Prescott and dedicated to the enjoyment of horses through trail rides and club events. The volunteer-run organization hosts activities for members throughout the year.
Texas Equestrian Trail Riders Association
TX
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit (TETRA) that promotes all phases of trail riding in Texas. Members build and maintain horse trails at facilities run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Texas Parks and Wildlife to enhance the riding experience.
The Middleburg Hunt
Middleburg, VA
A foxhunting club founded in 1906 in Middleburg, Virginia, recognized in 1908 by the Masters of Foxhounds Association. It is one of America's oldest foxhunts and a fixture of Virginia's hunt country.
