A horse camping map for your own website.

Finding a campground that takes horses means reading campsite lists one at a time. This maps every federal campground and RV park within 25 miles of you, and one tap on “With horses” picks out the equestrian sites. It is an iframe, so it drops into any page builder that takes embed code.

Camping map

Every campground and RV park within 25 miles of you on a topo map, with each campground’s real campsites and a filter for tents, trailers, motorhomes and power.

Data
Recreation.gov campgrounds and campsites plus our RV park directory, drawn on free USGS topo maps. No Mapbox, no API key, no metered map loads

What it shows

  • Every Recreation.gov campground within 25 miles, on a topo map
  • The real campsites at each, drawn where they sit
  • A “With horses” filter that keeps only the campsites listed as equestrian
  • A trailer length filter, so a long rig only sees sites it fits

Who puts it up

Trail riding clubs, Back Country Horsemen chapters, ride organisers, and stables that send boarders out on trips.

You do not need a listing with Equestrian Hubs to use it. If you have one, making it yours is free and lets you fix what visitors see when they click through.

Where to paste it

Squarespace

Edit the page, add a block, choose Code, and paste the snippet in. Leave the block set to HTML.

Wix

Add → Embed Code → Embed HTML, then paste the snippet into the Code box.

WordPress

Add a Custom HTML block and paste it in. In the classic editor, switch to the Text tab first.

Anywhere else, the rule is the same: it goes wherever your editor accepts raw HTML. Paste the whole snippet, including the plain link, which is the part that keeps working if the script is ever blocked.

Questions

Before you paste

Not today. It maps federal campgrounds from Recreation.gov and the RV parks in our directory. A private horse camp is not in either, so it will not appear.

No. A federal campground links to its Recreation.gov page where it has one, which is where you book, and an RV park links to its own page.

It is free, with no account, no API key and no limit on how many people load it. The catch, stated plainly: the snippet includes a visible link back to us, and that link is what the widget costs you. If you would rather not link out, do not use it.

No. It draws on the free USGS topo map, so there is nothing to sign up for and no metered map loads to pay for.
