Wilderness Pack Trips- Yellowstone

  My husband, Denis Prager, and I spent 8 nights and 9 days with Mike and Erin Thompson on the Thorofare trail in the southeast section of Yellowstone National Park. First, let me say the food was just wonderful. Erin is a magician. Every breakfast, lunch and dinner was tasty and filling. I ate like a horse. Speaking of horses, their horses are wonderful. They are well-behaved and easy to manage, even for me, a novice rider. The other guests were interesting and fun. I hope we have made some new friends for life. We just loved Mike and Erin and their son, Gus. They are witty and fun and interesting. Better company we could not ask for. We encountered 2 Park rangers during our trip and it was clear that both thought highly of the Thompsons. They are well-respected outfitters who left every campsite better than they found it. I give them my highest possible rating because they well-deserved it! Addendum written March14, 2015 -- I just re-read my review. Every word is true. These people are terrific and the entire experience was tops.
