  Southern Cross Guest Ranch was truly one of the most unforgettable vacations we have ever taken. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. This is not simply a place to stay and ride horses; it is a special place filled with genuinely wonderful people who care deeply about their guests, the horses, and the entire ranch experience. Karen was so welcoming and helpful at the front desk, and the housekeeping was wonderful throughout our stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home. The barn staff made our experience especially memorable. Wes, the barn manager, does an incredible job overseeing everything and making sure both the horses and guests are taken care of. Nikki, the lead farm hand, worked so hard and was always kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Amber and Alicia were fantastic guides who helped make the few guided rides enjoyable, comfortable, and memorable. You could tell how much the entire barn team loves the horses and takes pride in what they do. A very special thank-you goes to Tawny, who did a phenomenal job washing and preparing Shadow for my photoshoot. Shadow looked absolutely beautiful, and the care and effort Tawny put into getting her ready meant so much to me. It helped make an already special experience even more meaningful, and I will treasure those memories and photographs forever. Lindsay and Will were amazing in the kitchen. Every meal was delicious, comforting, and prepared with so much care. The food was consistently excellent, and sitting down for meals became one of the highlights of each day. They made sure everyone was well fed and always made the dining experience feel warm and welcoming. And finally, Inge, the owner, is such an amazing person. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine love for the ranch can be felt everywhere. She has created something incredibly special at Southern Cross: a place where guests can slow down, connect with the horses, enjoy beautiful surroundings, and leave feeling like they have become part of the ranch family. We arrived excited for a ranch vacation, but we left with memories and connections that will stay with us for a lifetime. Southern Cross Guest Ranch completely exceeded our expectations. The horses, riding, food, accommodations, and people were all exceptional. Thank you to every single person who made our stay so wonderful. We cannot recommend Southern Cross Guest Ranch highly enough, and we truly hope to return!

  Amazing time, all the staff and other guests were so kind and welcoming; Max Nicki Amy and Alicia were great guides. I’m a beginner but they made me feel comfortable riding at speed. Delicious food and ADORABLE CATS AND DOGS AND HORSES EVERYWHERE! The horses are clearly well loved and healthy, and are constantly getting spoiled by guests when they’re not working. I had a magical time wandering around the pasture and petting everyone, but I especially loved getting to bond with the same horse over multiple days of riding, and learning how to tack/untack. You get a lot of autonomy and learn fast. The cats in particular are so so friendly and love human attention. As a cat person, I melted down nonstop. I’ll definitely be coming back!

  Southern Cross Guest Ranch in Madison, Ga. We didn’t get a chance to stay @ the Ranch but we did book a group Horseback Riding. My Granddaughters, their best Friends & I enjoyed our 2 hour ride. One of the young ladies in our group got her first experience on a horse & she loved it. We all definitely will book another trip. We had an excellent guide, Nikki, whom took us for an adventurous & fun ride. Thank-you so much Ms. Karen for sharing your lovely ranch with our Family!

  My husband and I stayed here for the Xmas holiday. We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff are incredibly friendly, rooms are clean and extremely comfortable. We were having trouble relaxing on our roadtrip until we got to Southern Cross Ranch. The sheets are pristine. The shampoo/conditioner/soaps are luxurious. You can tell staff/ownership put effort into this ranch. The food is tasty with many options/buffet style and you have free drinks 24/7 such as sodas, ice teas, Gatorade, coffee/tea, water, etc. There’s always snack available in between meals. The horse riding is amazing. You get matched up to a horse depending on your experience and get a guide. Later, you’re able to explore the lands without a guide if you would like to. As long as you have a partner with you. They allow you to trot and canter but also are respectful of your choices to walk slowly. You can do as much as you are confident to do so. The whole ranch was a fantastic experience and we will def be back! Tip: Make sure to bring apples and treats for your horses as they don’t sell it at the ranch.
