  Skyrock farm is such an amazing place to learn how to ride all different types of horses. I started riding there when I was younger and I was an uncertain kid who struggled with independence. Skyrock has helped me in so many way overcome that, inside and outside of the barn. The teachers vary in teaching styles of course but there is a sense of “try your hardest then ask for help” that is very good for improving skills. Obviously if someone needs help the teachers there are always ready but it’s a place that teaches you to use your head and instincts to figure things out. And one of the most amazing things about Skyrock is the community between everyone. I’ve made so many wonderful friends who are always there to support me with riding and anything else I need to talk about. The sense of belonging is strong even from the beginning. Finally the horses are absolutely wonderful and have such amazing variation. They are gorgeous, healthy, and very intelligent animals who all have a different lesson to teach you. They all get turned out to their pasture and ridden frequently, but with plenty of breaks and time to rest and replenish. I’ve changed and improved SO much with my riding in a very very short time, and toughened up as a person terrifically. I recommend Skyrock!!

  I paid $100 for what was advertised as a private riding lesson, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The student was a 17-year-old rider with previous riding experience, yet the lesson was conducted primarily by a 15-year-old child rather than a qualified adult instructor. Despite being charged for a private lesson, there were multiple lessons taking place simultaneously in the arena, creating a chaotic environment that did not feel private or individualized in any way. The main instructor never took the time to evaluate the student's riding background, knowledge, or skills. When the student attempted to explain that she already had riding experience, she was not given the opportunity to demonstrate any of her abilities. Instead, the child instructor spent most of the lesson leading the horse while the student simply sat on it, with little to no opportunity to control the horse or actively participate in riding. The entire experience was essentially equivalent to an expensive pony ride. When I later contacted the barn owner to discuss these concerns, I was told that their horses are "powerful performance horses" and that new students are not allowed to take control of them. This response raises an important question: if a lesson program cannot safely accommodate riders of varying experience levels, why are appropriate lesson horses not available? A reputable lesson program should evaluate a rider's knowledge and abilities before the lesson and then match them with a suitable horse that allows them to ride safely while continuing to develop their skills. Charging $100 for a private lesson taught by a child, without any meaningful skills assessment, instruction, or opportunity for the rider to actually ride, is completely unreasonable. Riders deserve instruction from qualified instructors and lessons tailored to their experience level. Unfortunately, that is not what was provided here.

  I can't recommend Skyrock Farms highly enough! At 43 years old I decided it was finally time to try something I'd always dreamed about—learn to properly ride horses. It has turned into one of the best decisions I've made. My instructor, Hannah, is exceptional. She's incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and makes safety the foundation of every lesson. Every instruction has a purpose, and she takes the time to explain not just what to do, but why it matters. I always leave feeling like I've learned something new while building confidence in a safe, structured environment. The horses are clearly loved and exceptionally well cared for, and it shows in everything they do. Skyrock Farms has created an organized, consistent program where the quality of instruction never wavers. Whether they're teaching young children or adults like us who are checking something off a lifelong bucket list, every student receives the same level of care, professionalism, and encouragement. What I appreciate most is that no one has ever made us feel "too old" to start. Instead, we've been welcomed, challenged, and celebrated every step of the way. It's been such a joy to share this adventure with my lifelong best friend, and Skyrock Farms has made the experience even more special than we imagined. If you're considering riding lessons—whether you're 8 or 48—Skyrock Farms is an incredible place to learn. With outstanding instructors like Hannah, wonderful horses, and a genuine commitment to safety and horsemanship, it's a place that inspires confidence, growth, and a whole lot of smiles. Five stars, without question.

  We had our son’s 2nd birthday party there and it was so amazing. The space was beautiful and the horses were great. Such a wonderful experience! Highly recommend!
