  Wow! Very neat place to learn how horse racing started and how horses are such a big part of our lives. Trolly ride was great. 20 minute ride with a guide to give history and layout of the facility. Many hands on activities. Great for kids and adults. Was able to get up close to see horses and pet some of them. Spent 5 hours investigating as much as we could. Tickets gives you 2 days to see everything. Wonderful staff. Helpful and friendly.

  If you’re looking for something fun and a little different to do around Lexington, the Kentucky Horse Park is absolutely worth the visit. We spent a good chunk of the day there and ended up loving it. The place is huge, beautiful, and really well kept. You can tell they take pride in the horses and the facilities. One of the highlights for us was the horseback riding. Riding through the park on the trails was a great experience and something you don’t get to do every day. The guides were friendly and made the whole thing relaxed and enjoyable. We also spent time walking through the barns and stables, which was really cool. Seeing the horses up close and learning a bit about the different breeds and their history made the visit feel more than just a quick tourist stop. If you enjoy horses at all, this part alone is worth it. Overall the park is clean, well organized, and there’s plenty to see and do without feeling rushed. Between the riding, the barns, and just walking around the grounds, it made for a really enjoyable day. If you’re anywhere near Lexington and even remotely like horses, I’d definitely recommend stopping by.

  The main reason we came here was for the horseback riding. To be honest, the ride itself was pretty slow and a little boring. That said, the scenery was absolutely stunning, and riding through such a beautiful area made it worthwhile. There’s also a museum on-site, which was decent. It’s probably more interesting if you’re really into horses or if you’re visiting with kids.

  We spent the morning at Kentucky Horse Park and it ended up being one of the highlights of our Lexington trip. We started around 10 AM with the horse-drawn carriage tour, which was a great way to see the park and learn some of the history. After that we spent time in the kids’ play barn where our toddler had a blast climbing around and exploring. Later we watched one of the horse shows and were able to get up close and even pet some of the horses, which made the experience really memorable. The park is beautiful, well kept, and surprisingly very family friendly. There’s a nice mix of educational exhibits, live demonstrations, and interactive areas for kids. Our son Pierce absolutely loved it — definitely a great stop if you’re visiting Lexington with kids or just enjoy horses.
