  I’ve been riding with Jody for years! Her and Jessica are spectacular! They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful! I would recommend lessons AND boarding your horse here! My horse Loki loves his large paddock and has been extremely happy here!

  My daughter began taking riding lessons with Avalon Management about 7 years ago, at the age of 8. Jody and Jessica’s top priority has always been the safety of both the horse and the rider. They are genuinely good people that always have their horses’ and riders’ best interests at heart. They not only take safety and horse care seriously, they also make learning fun, which has always made me look forward to my next lesson. Through their guidance and instruction, they prepared me for horse ownership, taking the best care of my horse, and competing in shows. We are grateful for the Avalon Management team.

  I returned to riding after a 15-year hiatus, and am so glad I found Avalon. This is an incredible place with a strong community. People are friendly, helpful, positive, and encouraging. I wish I had learned in this kind of environment when I was young. The instructors are so positive and take care in teaching the "why" to help make you a better horseperson. They take excellent care of their horses, and run things smoothly. I highly recommend coming here for lessons - no matter your age or level!

  From young (or not so young, like me) beginners to advanced students, the Avalon trainers help riders gain confidence, improve their riding skills and learn about overall horsemanship. Jody and Jessica Phillips are terrific trainers. Their style of teaching makes the lessons feel fun and relaxed, even when we might be doing something pretty challenging like riding without stirrups or jumping some fences. I can't say enough good things about Avalon.
